MARTIN R APOLINAR
Martin; a man who entered our lives 14 years ago and will remain in it throughout our lifetime.
 A true hero, not only because of his ultimate sacrifice, but because of who he was; a good
son, a good brother, a good husband and a good father.  A man we were proud to call our
son-in-law.  As my son said, "On Mary 29th,2011, We took a big hit in losing Martin, and
we may one day recover, but we will never fully recover".  The day we lost him, we lost
a link in our family chain, but on October 22, 2011, he placed a link in our chain with the birth
of his son.  We miss you Martin.  You remain with us forever.

28, of Glendale, Ariz., assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died May 29 in
Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with
an improvised explosive device. Also killed were Capt. Joseph W. Schultz and Sgt. Aaron J.
Blasjo.
