Lammerts The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. They died April 4 of wounds suffered from small arms fire in Faryab province, Afghanistan. Killed were: Sgt. Scott H. Burgess, 32, of Franklin, Texas. Sgt. Michael S. Lammerts, 26, of Tonawanda, N.Y. They were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 84th Field Artillery Regiment, 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Baumholder, Germany. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart.
