To all members of the Carroll family:
Our deepest condolences goes out to you for the lost of the wonderful young man. His sacrifices will
be embedded in our minds forever. Our hearts are heavily burdened for you. May God give you
peace of mind someday with his demise. Our prayers are with each of you. Mr. Carroll our thoughts
are especially with you because of the friendship our family has with you at Cumberland
Elementary. As you know we are a military family as well, and our daughter Major Kendra Tippett as
well sends her deepest regards and if there will be a memorial in his honor at Ft. Bragg she will
definitely attend. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to you and your family. If there is anything we
can do, please don't hesitate to ask. We salute Patrick for all his courage and services for our
country.

Surveillance Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died Feb. 7 in Kandahar
province, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with an
improvised explosive device.
