he believed in .
Crescent City's heart is broken and we miss one of our brightest stars.
He was everything that was good and possible in a human being, a
soldier and a man.

Reconnaissance Ranger
In Honor Of Bruno de Solenni
Bruno passed away one year ago today. He was a GREAT man and a great friend. Today,
here in Iraq, five of us who were friends with him met for a breakfast in memory of Recon
DeSo. I miss him dearly and wish he was still here with us. I posted two of his photo's today
at our HQ building to remind us all of the sacrifice he made. DeSo, you are not forgotten by us
and never will be!!!

I met Bruno in 2001 when he came to Ft. Hunter Liggett.  We dated for a while but life pulled
us in different directions.  We remained close friends though and I last talked to him
August 15, 2008 one month before he was killed.  
I just found out about his death today and I'm heart broken.  Reading about him and all the
people that love him confirms the caliber of a human being he was.  I miss him so and can't
imagine how many people must be feeling the same way.  He was an amazing person and he
stood for everything that is good and right in the world.  I don't know what to say except I'll
never forget him and he will be in my heart forever.

Team, Oregon Army National Guard; died Sept. 20 in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of wounds
sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.
