Staff Sergeant Patric D Hamburger , 30 gave his life to his country on Aug 6 2011 whe the
Ch-47 Chinook helicopter was shot down in Ward Province Afghanistan. With Many others
even some from the Seal team 6 unit. Pat was born on May 25 1981. His family moved to
Lincoln Nebraska in 1985. He graduated from Lincoln Southeast High school in 1999. Pat
enlisted in the ARmy National guard's in 1998 when he was a junior in high school. He was a
plumber until 2008 that is when he became a full time helicopter flight engineer with the
National Buard unit in Grand island , Ne.
Pat met Candie Reagan in 2005 and They where planning on setting a wedding date when he
came home from his deployment. In 2008 Pat, Candie and his step daughter Veronica moved
to Grand Island, Ne. and in January of 2009 Candie's and Pat's Daughter came into the world.
Pat loved spending time with his family and friends and loved to make people laugh and smile.
Pat always had a big smile on his face which would make you smile also. Pat was a
Mechanical genius he loved rebuilding old cars and takin things apart and fixing them and he
loved working on the Chinooks and making sure they where in top working order and he
loved flying these where his passions.
Pat left behind his fiance Candie Reagan, and daughters Veronica Reagan & Payton
Hamburger. His Mother and step father Joyce and Delayne Peck, Father and step mother
Douglas and shaune Hamburgers, Bothers Mike & Chris Hamburger, Step bothers
Jeremy & Joshua Francis, Step Sister Jessica Francis. Grandparents Willard and  Jacque
Hamburger . And many more family member and extended family members, friends and
bother's of arms.
For the 30 short years Pat was on this earth he touched so many peoples lives and hearts
and will be greatly missed. Future in laws didn't see him as a son inlaw but as a son.. and His
future bother inlaws seen him as a bother.

Aviation Battalion), Nebraska National Guard, Grand Island, Neb.; died Aug. 6 in Wardak
province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when the CH-47 Chinook helicopter in which he was
riding was shot down.
