My deepest condolences to the family left behind to honor the memory of their hero. I did not
know young Joseph but my daughter just turned 22 years old and her husband is in the Army
and I can't begin to imagine the roller coaster of emotions you must be going through.
We were honored to stand at attention as he was carried down Interstate 45 this morning. Our
prayers for this war to end will not come soon enough for young Joseph or the many other
young men whose lives were cut too short. May God bless your family and comfort you
during this time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Afghanistan, when the CH-53D helicopter he was riding in crashed.
