He is the son of Melanie Thrasher and William Long III and Stepson of Bobby Thrasher. He signed up in his senior year of high school. He was sworn into the Army on Oct 2,2004. He left for Basic training on June 28, 2005.He did his basic training at Fort Knox, KY. He left for his first duty station Ft. Riley in Nov 2005. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan. He was deployed to Iraq Feb 8, 2007 July 20, 2010 Nannie Gloria It has been almost 3 years since your passing,And what you did for our country and yours will not go on noticed,I know the Angels in Heaven are watching over you,and your Family down here misses you terribly.I know I do.
