He and Tom bunked together over there. My son talked of Tom often when he called home. He admired him very much. He was also in the Humvee behind Toms. He remembers him with great respect. I am so sorry for your loss! Tom is a True American Hero! January 21, 2012 Melanie Ables I wanted you to know that my son served with Thomas in Afghanistan and was very touched by there friendship. He took his death very hard. He was in the vehicle behind Thomas'. To this day he still wears a black bracelet bearing your son's name.
