In Honor Of LCpl. Justin James Swanson
LCpl. Justin James Swanson a Buena Park High School Graduate entered life in Fountain
Valley, California on January 15, 2009 and served his conutry with Honor and Pride.  For his
braveness and unwavering patriotism hw was presented with: Purple Heart, Combat Action
Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on
Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorim Service Medal, Humanitarian Medal &
Sea Service Deployment Medal.  Justin entered eternal life on November 10, 2009 In
Afghanistan.  Our HERO was laid to rest on November 21, 2009 at Westminster Memorial
Park, California. Justin leaves behind Mother Mary Hargrove, Father Les Swanson, Sisters
Kayla Kirkpatrick & Kelli Hessenauer, Brothers Gage Kirkpatrick & Patrick Hessenauer, Aunts
Dianne, Linda & Brenda, Uncles, Oliver, Bill & Kevin.  He also leaves behind several cousins,
extended family, and many, many loving friends. "Justin, You will be missed, but your spirit!
is everlasting." "Justin Face we love you forever!"

I can't believe today marks 1 year since you passing Justin. You are always thought about
and talked about and will NEVER be forgotten. I love you dearly and miss you so much! R.I.P.

Justin was a special breed of man.  When he entered the sophomore English class I was
teaching in 2004, he did it as a kid.  When he graduated two years later, he did it as a real man.  
This is the kind of person who deserves an everlasting place in our collective memory.  

Buena Park High School teachers are planning to hold a memorial program that would help
at-risk kids. Every penny we collect is going into this effort to let Justin's positive influence
during his mortal life live on.  

Should you feel you can send a $10 donation to JUSTIN'S CHALLENGE, we would gladly add
it to our running total.  This fundraiser is scheduled to run through to May 1st, 2011.  Checks
should be made out to BPHS ASB, with memo line as "Justin's Challenge".  The mailing
address is Buena Park High School, 8833 Academy Drive, Buena Park, CA  90621.

This is for Justin.  We will remember.

But i tell everyone who asks that you never lost your life, you gave it.  I love you swanny.  I
