In Honor Of Cpl  Joe Wrightsman
Died in afghanistan on july 18,2010. Cpl. Joe L. Wrightsman, 23, "while supporting combat
operations" in Helmand province, in southern Afghanistan.
Share Wrightsman was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, based at
Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

I was also stationed at kbay hawaii, i was with 1/3. To have a fellow marine and also
hometown hero fall is a terrible thing indeed, but for the few that have been over there and
the few that has the courage and guts to enlist during this time, I tip my hat to you and thank
you for all u have done. My heart and prayers go out to your family and platoon. I was
fortunate on my 2 tours in iraq not to have someone close to me pass, but you are a fellow
marine and your platoon also feels the same i am sure that you will never be forgotten, you
fell defending this great nation and few have the honor that you showed. Thank you for your
service and Semper Fidelis .

In Honor Of Cpl. Joe Wrightsman
I am a former Marine infantry combat veteran who served in Beirut in 1983. The death of Cpl.
Wrightsman, who is from my hometown, truly moved me. I did not know him in life but will not
forget him in death. A true Marine Hero!

Joe and I go all the way back to boot camp. He has been to my home in florida on leave and
knows my own family and friends. He was a great American, a great Marine and will be
forever remembered and missed. If anyone knows what his bday was please let me know it
